When your crazy starts to look uncrazy

You ever have one of those moments where you start seeing the matrix and everything you've thought was separate suddenly snaps together with a golden thread (just like Carrie Mathison in Homeland)??

Like you can’t unsee it once you see it.

I’m having one of those moments and wow… I sure do love me a big ’ol hit of dopamine when that happens.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about the world as filtered through our little glowing rectangles—and the fabricated reality that comes through them.

I’ve been noticing how my feed is basically a split screen of two emotional states:

Posts that make me feel bad… and posts that make me feel good. The ones that make me feel bad I don't even need to get into here. You can certainly relate.

But the ones that feel good all have something in common -- they’re almost always heart-based impulses that someone actually acted on. Not performative. Not polished.

Real people doing real things that create more lifemore common ground—more goodness.

And it hit me…

That’s what thriving ecosystems do.

They don’t just survive. They generate life.

Which makes me wonder -- What do we humans actually need in our environments—internally and externally—to follow through on the visions that want to come through us?

Because here’s what I’m seeing. We’re in a phase of collective deconstruction (to put it lightly), which requires that we learn to construct in new ways built on new principles.

And whether that means finding a more aligned job, parenting with more patience, plugging into meaningful community, setting a firm boundary in a relationship, or finally doing the thing you’ve been circling for years…

we can’t use the same blueprint that got us here to build what’s next.

In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing with you a vision that is quite literally coming together as I type—my version of creating more life, more common ground, and just plain goodness.

And if you’re feeling that same quiet pull toward something more life-giving… you’re probably closer than you think.

Question in the meantime . . . what do you already know helps you to take a bold step towards something that makes you a little nervous? For me it's feeling into the possibility that exists on the other side of nervous. I'd love to hear yours!
